The REME HALO is a whole home in-duct HVAC unit that features ionized hydroperoxide output, which kills microbial contaminants in the air as well as on surfaces. Now with quick release features for the cell and housing for faster cell replacement and an adjustable shroud for customization of the advanced oxidation plasma output.

The REME HALO 24vac power supply requires 700 mA of power for each Guardian Air unit being installed on the circuit.

You can use a 40VA transformer capable of connecting to a suitable 120, 208, 240VAC Source.(RGF is currently not supplying transformers). When installing multiple units on an HVAC system it is recommended to use a properly sized 24VAC transformer.

When using a secondary transformer, ensure it is installed in compliance with local codes by a certified installer. 

Yes. The Model REME-H should have continuous power and not cycle on and off with the fan or HVAC system. Cycling the unit on and off can shorten the life of the bulb. (Note the REME-LED model can shut on and off with the air flow) For installation instructions check out the REME HALO installation manual and wiring diagram. 

The REME HALO's ionization will cause particle to be charged and draw together to create larger particle. This make it easier for filters to pull those contaminates from the air. RGF recommends using and electro static filer to filter more efficiently. Atomic 11 and 13 and higher are electrostatic. MERV 13 filters down to the size of viruses.

Yes, the REME HALO reduces does in several ways. By charging the particles in the air causes them to draw together into larger particles. This causes the particles to either fall out of the air to the ground or to be large enough to be filtered by your air filters. MERV 11, 13 or higher electrostatic air filters are recommended for best results.

The REME HALO can help prevent mold, viruses and bacteria from replicating by inactivating the pathogens. The California Microbiology Center tested the RGF's Advanced Oxidation Technology (AOT) used by the REME HALO and saw a 97% to 98% reduction in Mold in a 2000 sq/ft home and 3000 sq/ft simulated home. Their test also showed a 99% reduction in bacteria and 90+% reduction in yeast.See all test results.

The REME HALO bulb / cell is  good for 2 years(up to 25,000 hours). The bulb will have reduced output over time and the cell should be replaced even if the bulb is still working. The REME-H should be wired to have continuous power for optimal performance.

The cost of installation is up to the individual HVAC installer. The cost can vary depending on your region of the country, the complexity of your system, and the demand for HVAC services. One requirement for warranty coverage from the manufacturer is that the REME HALO be installed by a licensed HVAC contractor. The REME HALO LED is the newer model and does not produce any Ozone and is officially certified zero-ozone status. The REME HALO LED uses LED light to produce UV light instead of the Mercury bulb used in the REME-H model so the LED light will last significantly longer. The REME HALO LED has a longer life and warranty and is more efficient since it can cycle on and off with the fan. The Warrant on the LED model is 7 years ballast / 4 years led cell (U.S. only).
