I've been buying Ultravation 5" filters for years because of the higher pleat count vs. the filters from the box stores, this equates to an overall larger filter area. I just bought a new set and noticed the pleat direction had changed. I did some rough calculations and found that they reduced the filter media size by 430 sq-in. That's about a 14% reduction in overall filter media.
Kinda disappointing and no longer worth the premium price.
Atomic filters was fantastic though, filters came real quick and in great condition.
Love the filter. Perfect size. Love the company more. Have bought several times from them since this filter is hard to find. This time the filter came in and FedEx had crushed it in delivery. Called CSR service and sent them a picture of the crushed box and they immediately sent me out another one which arrived in great shape. Will continue to buy from Atomic Filters because of their great product and great customer service!
I contacted customer service to ask what would happen if I wanted to return the filter in case it didn't work; the customer service replied kinda blunt by saying " if you return it, we will check the filter for it's original wrapper, and make sure that it is not used so we could issue a refund!" I I could not have open the filter as I had not yet received it therefore I couldn't have use it neither. But when the filter got here it was the right one. THANK GOD....
I had difficulty finding this filter so was very pleased to find it through Atomic Filters. Ordering was easy and the company’s response was excellent.
Company shipped the filters from the time I ordered them in three days. 👍
